‘WKN announce series of stakeholder events in August

Launch of a new partnership between WKN, Energy North and North Highland College.

Stakeholder Lunch and Networking Event – 12.00 on Wednesday 1 August 2012
Conference Room at the The North Highland College, Ormlie Road, THURSO
KW14 7EE

We will start with presentations from Energy North, WKN and North Highland College on how
these new partnerships will benefit all parties involved.

The presentations will be followed by a short question and answer session before a networking
lunch is served around 1pm.

The afternoon should conclude around 2pm when we will then go on to meet with local
businesses to see how they could partner with WKN in the construction phase of the wind farm,
should it be consented.

Signing of Community Benefit Agreement between WKN, Creich, Lairg and Ardgay &
District Community Councils

The afternoon will commence with some brief presentations from WKN, Duchally Estate and a
representative from the Community Councils involved in the agreement.

The presentations will focus on the benefits that the wind farm could afford the local
communities under WKN’s pioneering and innovative Community Benefit Scheme, as well as
the opportunities that WKN’s investment in the Highlands could have for both the Duchally and
Sallachy Estates, the local communities and the Highlands in general.

The networking lunch should conclude around 2pm after which our public open day will
commence between 2pm and 5pm.

The afternoon will commence with presentations from WKN, the University of the Highlands and
Islands and further guest speakers to be confirmed on how these new partnerships will benefit
all parties involved.

The presentations will then be followed by a short question and answer session before a
light lunch and networking opportunity around 1pm. The afternoon should conclude around
2pm after which we will be meeting with local businesses to working with WKN during the
construction phase of the wind farm, should it be consented.

Please note apart from the open afternoon at Falls of Shin on Thursday 2 August between 2pm
and 5pm the events are by invite only. If you are interested in attending either the Thurso or
